Online Individual Therapy

John Walter Counsellor

I work relationally with adults online, helping you make sense of patterns that keep showing up, so they have less hold on you.

Do your closest relationships bring out something in you that you don’t fully understand yet?

Maybe you find yourself repeating patterns you can see clearly but can’t seem to change. Or carrying something from earlier in your life that shows up in ways you didn’t expect. Perhaps the person you are in relationship feels different from the person you know yourself to be.

I work relationally, which means I’m interested in what happens between people, and what that reveals about what’s happening inside. I bring curiosity rather than categories, and I work at your pace.

How it works

Sessions are 50 minutes, held online via a secure video platform, and available to adults across the UK. I have daytime appointments available Tuesday to Thursday.

My fee for online individual therapy is £75 per session.

Who I work with

I work with adults navigating a wide range of experiences: relationship and identity questions, patterns rooted in childhood, gender and sexuality, social anxiety, bereavement, and the kind of difficulty that doesn’t fit neatly into a single category.

I don’t work from a fixed diagnostic framework. If you’ve felt categorised or pigeonholed by previous therapy, or simply want a space where the complexity of who you are is taken seriously, we may be a good fit.

Getting started

I offer a free introductory phonecall so you can get a sense of whether working together feels right. There’s no obligation.
