I work face-to-face with children and young people in Bude, using a relational approach that follows the child rather than a fixed programme or diagnosis.

Children and young people don’t always have the words for what’s happening inside them. They don’t always need them. Therapy can work through relationship, play, creativity, and simply being with someone who is genuinely curious about who they are.
Neurodiversity
I work with children and young people who think and experience the world differently, whether or not they carry a formal diagnosis. Many children I see have been told something is wrong with them. I’m more interested in understanding how they work, and what gets in the way.
Trauma and Abuse
Children who have experienced abuse or trauma often carry it in ways that are hard for the adults around them to read: behaviour, withdrawal, difficulty trusting, physical symptoms. I offer a safe, consistent relationship in which that experience can, in time, be understood and processed.
School Refusal and Non-Attendance
Not being able to attend school is rarely straightforward. It’s often the visible sign of something more complex underneath: anxiety, sensory difficulty, social pain, or an environment that hasn’t been able to accommodate who the child is. I work with the child, and where helpful, with parents and families alongside.
For Parents
I offer an initial conversation with parents before beginning work with a child, and keep parents informed of the broad themes of the work without breaking the child’s confidence. A clear contract between us helps everyone feel safe.
My fee for children and young people is £40 per session.
